The wax

Why cappings, not leftover comb

Cappings are the thin lids bees build over ripe honey. They are lifted once, when the honey is taken. What remains is pale, clean, already filtered by the hive — not the darker leftover of old comb. That is the only wax we pour.

The studio

From the hive’s finest wax.

Lumea Eterna began at a kitchen table in an old family house, with a bowl of beeswax cappings — the pale gold lids honeybees seal over their harvest. We still pour every candle by hand, one at a time. No paraffin. No perfume. Nothing that does not belong to the hive.

Pure cappings wax

Poured into a mould, dripped layer by layer for the shape, then dipped for a clean finish. Each pillar is unique.
